Hey Innis! I’m Joel and I’ll be your President this year! This is my third year at the University of Toronto, specializing in Computer Science. I come from Wallaceburg, Ontario, a small town that’s around 3 hours away, but I’ve loved living in Toronto where I can cheer on my beloved Blue Jays! I’m truthfully a bit of a video game junkie, but I love to get out and socialize and meet new people!
This is my third year living at Innis Residence, as well as my third year on the Innis Residence Council. I work at the Innis Residence Front Desk and I’m actively involved in student politics both within Innis College and across the campus. It’s pretty safe to say that if you live at Innis you’ll see me around, so come say hi if you haven’t already!
Welcome to Innis! I’m looking forward to making you feel at home and having an incredible year!If you need to get in touch with me for any reason, send an email to email@example.com!
Hey Innis! My name is Joe Yule and I’ll be the Vice-President of the IRC this year. I am a third year philosophy specialist trying to stay competitive for law schools after I graduate. As Vice-President, I will be overseeing clubs and committees and hopefully, with your help, making some new ones. If you have any ideas for clubs or committees you think Innis Residence should have then come talk to me, we want your ideas realized as much as you do!
Hey Innis! My name’s Miranda and I’ll be your IRC Treasurer this year! I’m currently in my 3rd year specializing in Health and Disease with a major in Music, so if you want to have a conversation about Mozart or the powerhouse of the cell, look no further! I’m originally from Saint John, New Brunswick (Maritimes represent!), I play violin and piano, I’m a huge tea lover, I own too many pairs of earrings, and mushrooms are my mortal enemy. Coming to the University of Toronto for me was a scary experience since I didn’t know anyone, but Innis Residence quickly became my home away from home. I love meeting new people, so feel free to come talk to me, whether it’s about the IRC, life at UofT, a conversation over a cup of tea, or if you want to hear a really bad joke. I look forward to meeting you all and I hope you have an amazing residence experience, so welcome to Innis and welcome to the family!
Hey Innis, my name is Ethan and I’m your IRC Secretary! This is my second year at the University of Toronto and at Innis, majoring in Neuroscience and Cell and Systems Biology. I’m from Vancouver (west coast best coast) and getting to live in Toronto was a big change from the laid back west coast to a busier east coast life. I’m a bit of a music nerd, and love playing the piano and the trumpet. You’ll quickly find that the more you get involved with the Innis community, you’ll get to know many more people and really feel at home! As the Secretary, I’ll be mainly typing up meeting notes for the bi-weekly IRC Meetings, but I’m also going to be making a newsletter for the Residence! Feel free to come talk to me about anything, whether it’s school related, getting used to a new city or just a friendly conversation. Welcome to Innis!
My name is William Luke and I am a third year student in Molecular Genetics & Microbiology and Nutritional Sciences. I am very excited to function as the Innis Residence Council Social Convener after co-chairing the Environmental Committee for two years. I am looking for new perspectives, so if you want to talk about anything from comic books, to football, to epigenetics just say hi! I hope that you will have a fantastic year at Innis Residence!
Junior House Reps are first-year students who work together with their respective Senior House Reps to build House spirit and encourage involvement in the Residence. They organize House Olympics and other events. Junior House Reps participate in the bi-weekly IRC meetings, so it is a great opportunity to see what all of the positions really do, and where they want to get involved in the future. Junior House Reps are chosen through an application process in October, so be prepared!
Senior House Reps are upper-year students who are responsible for building House spirit and encouraging involvement in the residence. They organize the monthly House Olympics, are responsible for all suite events in their respective houses, and mentor their respective Junior House Reps. Senior House Reps are chosen through an application process each spring, so more information will be given out closer to the date.
Hey Innis! Welcome to the best residence on campus! I’m Chiao and I will be your first house rep! I’m a massive photography fan and I work for student life and Innis College student society as photographer! Also I love to meet new people! If you ever see me around shooting pictures or throwing events, drop by and say hi! Keep smiling!
Hey Innis! I’m Thomas, and I’m a 2nd year student studying Physics at the University of Toronto. Although I was born and raised in a suburb of Ottawa, I love the big city and can see myself living downtown after University. In my spare time I like to read, play board games and eat cinnamon buns!
Hey Innis, what’s good? I’m Ashlee and I am the Senior House Rep for Taddle Creek! I’m in my second year of studies, double-majoring in English Literature and Women and Gender Studies. I’m caffeine-fueled and pro-getting involved in the close-knit Innis community! Outside of the IRC, I am the Equity and Outreach Director on the Innis College Student Student Society and the Online Editor for the Innis Herald. Come talk to me about your favourite bands, your dreams, the best ways to decorate your dorm or about how to get involved at Innis! I’m fairly easy to find in the residence, either working front desk or in the quad; just living my life trying to be something more than a one-dimensional female character in a male-driven comedy.
Hello Innisites! I am so excited to be the Sr. House Rep for Vlad. Currently I’m in my 2nd year studying Urban Studies, Political Science, and Geographic Information Systems. I’m also Clubs and Merch Director on the ICSS and the Creative Director for the Innis Herald. I’m not a fan of video games or the gym, but I’m always down to explore the city by the foot or bike, talk politics, or visit Fran’s at 2am!
Hi Innis! My name is Dianthi, and I’m the Senior House Rep for Ajax this year! I am currently a second year student, specializing in English. This is also my second year on the IRC, so I look forward to seeing an even greater turnout at all of our events this year! Whether it’s reading in the fishbowl or playing the piano in the music room, I’m pretty easy to find around the residence. So come say hello, and we can discuss Elizabethan literature. Even if Shakespeare isn’t your guy, still feel free to approach me anytime! I promise I won’t speak in rhyme.
Sup Innis, my name is Jannie and I’m going to be the Senior House Representative for North House. I’m in my fourth year at U of T, pursuing a double major in Sociology and Human Geography. Don’t ask me what either of those are because I still don’t know. I work at the Registrar’s Office so if you ever have any quick questions that need answering, I’d be happy to help. My interests include Oscar Isaac, Star Wars, music, Game of Thrones, food blogging (hit me up for food recommendations), and sleep. If you have any questions related to any of the things I’ve mentioned, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m only mean to people who insult Star Wars. p.s. I’m forming an ensemble so come talk to me if you are good at an instrument. Feel the Innis love all around you and don’t forget to go to class!
