Meet the Innis Residence Council for the 2013-14 academic year, and learn about the responsibilities of each position.
The President is responsible for all the affairs of the IRC, and plays a large role in planning and financing events. The President is the official spokesperson of the IRC, and chairs all IRC meetings.
I’m Lamorna and I’ll be your IRC President for this year. I love to travel, explore and to try new things. I’m from a small, quiet town in the UK, so I love Toronto because there’s ALWAYS something happening, or something new to see.
I’m going into my third year at UofT, and it’s also my third year on the IRC. I aim to work together to make this an amazing year! I work at the front desk, and I’m always around the building, so feel free to stop me if you have any questions, or even just to say firstname.lastname@example.org
The Vice-President assists the President with their job and fills in when necessary. The Vice-President oversees all committees, including the selection of committee chairs.

Residence was a great experience for me in my first year and I hope we are able to give you guys the same experience. I can’t wait to see you guys at res this fall!
The Secretary is responsible for general correspondence, and for internal notices within the IRC. My name is Sarah Markarian and I will be your 2013-2014 IRC Secretary. I am specializing in Psychology and I will be heading into my second year at U of T. Throughout the year, I will be taking notes during each IRC meeting and working with the rest of the council to make sure everyone has an awesome year here at Innis. I’m always around the building, usually at front desk, so if you ever have any questions or ideas, feel free to come see me.
I’m looking forward to a great year with you guys!

Jerry George Mathew
I am Jerry Mathew and I will be the IRC treasurer for the upcoming year. I am an electrical and computer engineering student and would be going into my second year.
As far as my personality goes, I am a very open, friendly and an easily approachable person. I love talking to people, so feel free to come up to me and talk about anything you like.
All in all, this is the philosophy that i live by: be helpful to people and they will do the same; no one is strong all the time, but together, we will get through it. Deep eh?
Junior House Representatives
Junior House Reps are first-year students who work together with their respective Senior House Reps to build House spirit and encourage involvement in the Residence. They organize House Olympics and other events. Junior House Reps participate in the bi-weekly IRC meetings, so it is a great opportunity to see what all of the positions really do, and where they want to get involved in the future. Junior House Reps are chosen through an application process in October, so be prepared!
Senior House Representatives
Senior House Reps are upper-year students who are responsible for building House spirit and encouraging involvement in the residence. They organize the monthly House Olympics, are responsible for all suite events in their respective houses, and mentor their respective Junior House Reps. Senior House Reps are chosen through an application process each spring, so more information will be given out closer to the date.
Hi! My name is Alex and I am the Senior House Rep for First House! I am a third year double majoring in Criminology and Psychology and minoring in Material Culture.

Hey guys! I’m Emily, and I’m the Senior Rep for Devo House! I’m a third year Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations Specialist from the suburbs of Ottawa, and Innis has been my home for a straight two years now.
This will be my second year on the IRC, as well as my second year as a Senior Rep. You’ll usually see me in my suite playing video games, or studying in the events room if I’m not at front desk.
I hope to see everyone coming out to events, attend House Olympics and bursting with spirit to make this year the best one yet!
Hi Innis! I’m Shikha and this will be my second year at UofT, as well as my second year on council.

My name is Shanaya, and I’ll be your Senior House Representative for Vladimir!
I’m going into my second round of battle against U of T this year, but don’t worry, it isn’t as scary as I’m making it seem.
So if you have any questions about English, Employment Relations, or really anything random, don’t hesitate to ask!
Yo Innis! I love video games and health. I want to be a disease researcher and video game designer.
I’m really easy to find with my Back to the Future hat, so come say hi! I’m also a T.G.I.F executive, so come on out and play games every other Friday!
Yo, my name is Ryan Lalonde and I am a second-year engineering student. I enjoy anything that has to do with sports, with hockey and baseball overtaking my life.
People say I’m a mixture of Albert Einstein, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Channing Tatum, and Wayne Gretsky.
I might be the perfect human being, however even I make some mistakes so with any problems in life, come to me and I will try my best to fix it. NORTH!!!!!
